About the Gallery
Galeria de los Santos is a project sponsored by Caribbean Consulting to complement our Museo de los Santos website.
Museo de los Santos was started in order to address the lack of online information and history of Santos and Santeros.
This gallery was started in order to provide an online resource for people who are interested in purchasing Santos and collectors who may wish to sell items.
Even in San Juan, Puerto Rico – it can be very frustrating for someone who would like to purchase a Santo.
- Souvenir Shops: Usually a limited selection displayed alongside plastic coquis, panama hats, postcards and t-shirts.
- Encuentro de Santeros: This is a great source for Contemporary Santos, but is only held once a year in Orocovis.
- Artisian Festivals: Showcase Contemporary Santos, but usually announced only a few weeks before the event.
- Art Galleries: Feature museum-quality pieces that are beyond the budget of all but the most serious collectors.
Our goal is to offer a broad range of Santos in every category:
- Value Gallery – Great selection of contemporary and smaller vintage santos perfect for gifts or new collectors.
- Premium Gallery – Vintage and antique santos along with some oversized contemporary work by master carvers.
- Fine Arts Gallery – Rare ‘museum quality’ santos.
- Specials Gallery – Santos that have been offered by collectors at a discounted price.
All of the items in our gallery have been reviewed by a team of experts who verify the authenticity of each item and that prices are set at or below a ‘fair-market’ value.
Collectors are welcome to contact us in order to sell items – but all descriptions and prices are subject to review by at least two experts in order to verify each item. We will only agree to include works that our experts can authenticate and are offered at or below a ‘fair-market’ price.
